South Australia's world-leading renewable credentials on show at World Expo

South Australia’s world-leading renewable energy credentials are being showcased at World Expo with the South Australian Government hosting a forum: South Australia: Decarbonisation and Clean Tech Forum, as part of the Expo’s ‘Future of Earth and Biodiversity Week’ (17-28 September).

The Decarbonisation and Clean Tech Forum features key stakeholders from clean energy, resources, investment, policy and research and will aim to promote South Australian investment-ready projects in renewables, hydrogen, green steel and critical minerals, highlighting Asia-Pacific trade and supply chain integration opportunities.

The Forum will foster collaboration between innovators, investors and policymakers, with an opportunity to hear from South Australian Government representative, Ms Rebecca Knights, Executive Director from the Department for Energy and Mining on how South Australia is putting strategy into action and positioning itself as a partner of choice for Japan and the world.

Joining the South Australian Government will be some of the state’s leading renewable energy industry partners, including:

The Forum will include panel discussion on ‘Why South Australia – Doing Business There’ and will feature:

The focus of the panel will be:

  • South Australia’s strengths in renewables, hydrogen, critical minerals and innovation
  • Opportunities for investment in green iron and steel
  • South Australia as one of the first jurisdictions in the world with an operational CCS facility with opportunities for additional investment
  • Business experience and real-world examples from panellists
  • Lessons for international investors and partners.
